I approach and teach a subject effectively by making learning clear, engaging, and student-centred. Here is a simple approach:
1. Start with the objective – Tell students what they will learn and why it is important.
2. Connect with prior knowledge – Ask questions or discuss familiar examples to link the new topic with what students already know.
3. Introduce the topic clearly – Explain concepts step by step using simple language, visuals, demonstrations, or real-life examples.
4. Encourage participation – Ask open-ended questions, conduct discussions, group activities, or hands-on tasks to keep students actively involved.
5. Use different teaching methods – Combine lectures, storytelling, videos, experiments, games, role plays, and technology to suit different learning styles.
6. Check understanding regularly – Ask quick questions, give short quizzes, or have students explain concepts in their own words.
7. Provide guided practice – Solve examples together before asking students to work independently.
8. Differentiate instruction – Support struggling learners with extra guidance while giving advanced learners more challenging tasks.
