About Kaashif
Born and raised in India, I am a writer, researcher, and educator. I completed my BA in sociology and film on a full scholarship at NYU, studying across Abu Dhabi, New York, London, and Accra. I was a Peer Tutor at the university’s Writing Center, helping students with brainstorming, planning, and drafting their essays, worked as a research assistant in the political science and sociology departments, and served as the editor-in-chief of the independent student newspaper.
I later completed my MA in social anthropology at SOAS with distinction on the International Postgraduate Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. Now, I work in London as a freelance writer-researcher and a Strategist at Crimson Education. I work with students from Russia, the UAE, and the Philippines on college applications across Asia and the US.
On a personal level, I am passionate about food, films, and fitness. When I'm not working, you can find me at the theatre, binging TV shows at home, or trying to execute cooking recipes from Instagram. I love long walks, yoga, and good conversation. Fun fact: I am also a professional scuba diver with more than 120 dives.
