About Tshegofatso
My name is Tshegofatso Vilakazi. I am 20 years old, turning 21 in November. I am currently a first-year student at Nelson Mandela University.
I am originally from Soweto. I attended a multiracial primary school, Lenasia Model Primary School, and then matriculated at Vector College, in the heart of the CBD. I’m a food-a-holic so you can bet every tutorial will have food.
I believe that language is not something you learn instantly. I am doing French as a module and it has been a lovely experience. What I noticed was that my French teacher’s approach to teaching us was teaching us the common words first so we can understand what is before us and answer correctly. That’s what my Afrikaans teacher did. It worked as we went from 30% to 60%+.
Besides being a student, I am interested in history and politics…so just in case you hear your child discussing politics and knowing random histories about random things, it’s me not them.
