About Abundance
As an LSA, working with student is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. I have always found joy in providing help and support for others, whether being helping out with a maths question or simply answering a burning question, this has always come naturally to me and its something I want to expand to reach a wide range of other students.
Being a mentor in college during my alevels has also helped me improve my skill in understanding and learning about a child. One thing that I believe that make a great tutor is not only the content of the subject but knowing the student as well. I have always found that teachers haven't built a real enough connection with students to be able to view the subject from their viewpoint.
Building a connection with a student allows you to understand what areas they struggle with but also why they struggle with it. This opens the doors for a solution that manages that problem leading to more efficient learning.

As a former English student, I know and have experienced firsthand what students studying English struggle with. English is one the challenging languages out there, but with the right teacher and format of lesson, it can be easier.
For me, I propose a lesson plan that breaks down topics into manageable and understandable chunks, from identifying terminology at GCSE Levels to spelling at a primary level.
I like to think of ways to make learning a fun and memorable experience. One way I do that is through activities such as games, quizzes, videos and many more. I will devise a suitable learning plan that is tailored directly to the individual, taking into account emotions and mental wellbeing.
