About Amy
I am a honorary alumni graduate with a degree in health science. I am currently working on my second year health science degree with a specialty in post-clinical medicine. I have a substitute teaching license through the State Board of Education. I am an advocate for the National Low Income Housing Coalition, the American Heart Association, and an advocate and volunteer for the American Cancer Society via ASC CAN. I am a member of the American Microbiology Society and the American College of Physicians where I was also elected Medical Student Fellow for the Southern region.

Teaching using a biopsychosocial approach, mental, physical, and social areas of health are covered.
A typical lesson plan consists of physiology of the lung and its functions and study of the process that disturbs normal function.
Other lesson plans include human cells and cell variations, the endocrine system and its purpose for maintaining homeostasis, and medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures, to name a few.
