About Jennifer
I am a second-year Politics and International Relations student, and one of the main reasons I chose this subject is my natural inclination towards helping and supporting others. I am passionate about engaging with people, understanding their needs, and helping them in the most effective way possible.
I am particularly motivated by supporting A-Level students in reaching their full academic potential. Helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve the best results they can is something I find genuinely rewarding. This motivation drives the care, patience, and commitment I bring to every tutoring session.
My studies have strengthened my analytical thinking, essay-writing, and evaluation skills, all of which are essential for success in subjects such as Sociology. My degree encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and the questioning of different perspectives, skills that are vital for engaging with complex ideas and producing strong analysis in Sociology.
I believe these skills are extremely important in academic writing and sociological understanding, and I enjoy encouraging students to think critically, challenge ideas, and engage confidently with different perspectives in their work.
I am committed to helping students improve both their subject knowledge and exam technique, and I always adapt my approach to suit individual learning styles and goals.

I take an exam-focused approach to tutoring A-Level Sociology. Having studied the subject myself recently, I understand exactly what examiners look for and where students often lose marks.
My lessons focus on breaking down key sociological theories and concepts in a clear and accessible way. I use exam-board-specific content, model answers, and structured essay plans to help students improve both their understanding and exam technique. I also strongly believe in the importance of understanding of creating a fool-proof method in approaching exam questions.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s current level, confidence, and goals, whether that is catching up on content, preparing for exams, or improving essay structure.
I achieved a strong A in A-Level Sociology and use my recent exam experience to give practical, relevant guidance. I am patient, approachable, and happy to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs.
My lessons are suitable for A-Level Sociology students (ages 16–18) at any stage of the course, including those who are struggling with content or aiming to improve their exam performance.
