About Olly

I am a year 13 student working towards my A levels, alongside the extensive amount of music I undertake in my free time. I enjoy playing in all mediums of music; very recently I had the opportunity to play Grieg's piano concerto with my local orchestra alongside as the next week going to Ireland for a tour with my county orchestra.

I have been playing the piano for 15 years since I was 3 years old and have been fortunate enough to develop many skills of accompaniment and solo performance constantly during my career as a pianist, as well as an ability to teach to almost all amateur and intermediate standards.

About the lesson

I will focus on the development of your core technique and expression, nurturing musicality and the foundations for you to be able to then progress and begin teaching yourself. Whether this stems to simply learning the odd piece or song, or pursuing further graded exams.

I have done a large amount of informal tutoring for family and friends for all standards of skill and thoroughly enjoy playing myself: I have finished all grades 1-8 and am currently working on my second performance diploma for Trinity College London to achieve my Licentiate diploma.

I am able to teach from 30 minutes to an hour and am happy to teach at any age from the standard of zero experience and teaching music theory and reading music to grade 8 Trinity or ABRSM.
