About Alula
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and worked as a Tech Consultant, along with being an Educator while in school and outside of school with several years of experience instructing and tutoring students that range anywhere between middle school all the way up to college sophomore level with Math, Physics, English and Writing.

I use Scaffolding, Socratic Questioning and Active Recall in my teaching method. Scaffolding: I break down large concepts into manageable parts by providing high-level summaries, then deep-diving into details. Socratic Questioning: I ask targeted questions to guide students toward the solution, which reinforces understanding and critical thinking. Active Recall: I encourage students to apply knowledge immediately through examples, problems, or explanations to solidify the learning. A Typical Lesson Plan 1. Objective Setting (2-5 mins): We confirm the specific topic and learning goal (e.g., "Mastering the chain rule in calculus") 2. Diagnostic Check (5-10 mins): I use a few quick questions to gauge current understanding and identify knowledge gaps. 3. Core Instruction & Application (30-40 mins): I present the concept using tailored analogies or real-world examples. We then immediately work through practice problems together. 4. Review & Next Steps (5-10 mins): We summarize the key takeaways, address any remaining confusion, and determine what we'll cover in the next session or what you should practice.
