About Rosie

Hi! I’m Rosanna, Level 5 TEFL-certified, and a native English speaker from the UK. I help teach students like you to build confidence expressing yourself in real-life situations.

I’ve lived in different parts of the UK, so I’m familiar with a range of accents and expressions, and I can help you understand English as it's really spoken, alongside British culture, discussion, and communication.

I have also mentored young people for 3+ years in being able to express themselves, and to integrate back into education and the wider workforce. Because of this, I have extensive experience coaching, mentoring, and teaching CV-writing skills.

I’m passionate about language, travel, and communication, and I love helping people connect with each other and access their potential more naturally. I’ve also lived in France, which gave me first-hand experience of experiencing life in a different country, and the challenges that come with it - especially when it comes to speaking with confidence.

In my spare time, I'm passionate about fitness and movement, which is almost as important as language communication is to me!

About the lesson

As a tutor, I understand that different students need different styles of learning to reach their best. My lessons can be structured or flexible, and are always adapted to your level and goals, and to fit your unique style of learning. I use a communicative approach focused on speaking, pronunciation, and practical use of English.

I have experience teaching English to both adults and young learners, from middle school students in the French education system improving their fluency, to professionals and teachers building confidence for formal exams. I use guided discussion, role-play, and listening practice to improve fluency, confidence, and real-life communication skills.

I create a supportive, low-pressure space where you can speak openly, make mistakes, and build real confidence step by step. Whether your goal is to improve your fluency, sound more natural, or just to feel more confident in conversations, I’m here to help.

Please note: I'm a neurodivergent-friendly tutor with experience tutoring ADHD and autistic students, so I'm happy to be flexible around your specific needs.

My qualifications:

• Level 5 TEFL certified
• MA in Humanities
• BA in English Literature
• 3+ years of tutoring and mentoring experience
