About Quinn
Hello! I am Quinn Davidson, a TEFL-certified English instructor with experience teaching Adult Business English, assisting beginner ESL students, and tutoring both adults and youth. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Global Management and Entrepreneurship, with a minor in Economics.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their English skills and achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and supportive. I enjoy incorporating engaging activities, conversations, and practical exercises that allow students to apply what they learn to real-world situations.
I can help students improve their everyday English communication skills as well as their Business English, including professional communication and workplace language. I believe learning should be a comfortable and encouraging experience where students feel confident asking questions, practicing new skills, and making mistakes along the way.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered, supportive, and focused on building students' confidence while developing practical skills. As a TEFL-certified instructor with experience teaching Adult Business English, assisting in beginner ESL classes, and tutoring adults and youth, I understand the importance of adapting my teaching methods to each student's needs and learning goals.
I believe students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. I incorporate group activities, oral presentations, discussions, and hands-on exercises to let students practice their new skills. I encourage students to ask questions, share their ideas, and learn from one another. I also provide clear instructions, examples, and constructive feedback to help students understand new concepts and apply them with confidence.
I typically begin a lesson by reviewing previous material or introducing a topic through a warm-up activity. Next, I explain the new concept, provide examples, and guide students through practice activities. Students then apply what they have learned through individual exercises, group activities, discussions, or presentations. I finish by reviewing the main concepts, answering questions, and providing feedback to help students recognize their progress and identify areas for improvement. I adjust activities and pacing based on students' needs and understanding.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to combine a supportive, student-centered teaching approach with practical knowledge of Business English. Through my experience teaching an Adult Business English course and my background in Business Administration, Global Management, and Entrepreneurship, I can help students develop the English skills they need for professional and workplace settings. I enjoy helping students improve their communication skills while learning practical language they can apply to real-world situations. I am also committed to creating a comfortable, welcoming learning environment where students feel safe making mistakes. I demonstrate this by acknowledging my own mistakes in the classroom and being able to laugh at myself. I want my students to understand that mistakes are a natural part of learning and nothing to be ashamed of. By encouraging students to ask questions, participate in activities, and learn from their mistakes, I aim to build their confidence and make learning both engaging and rewarding.
I have experience working with adult English language learners, beginner ESL students, youth learners, and students developing their Business English skills. I am especially interested in helping students improve their English communication, speaking, writing, and practical language skills. I am happy to adapt my lessons to different proficiency levels, learning styles, and individual goals, whether a student is learning English for everyday communication, academic purposes, professional development, or the workplace. My background in business administration, Global Management, and Entrepreneurship also allows me to bring practical business knowledge and cross-cultural perspectives into my lessons.
