About Callum
Hi, my name is Callum. Thank you for visiting my profile! I am a twenty-seven-year-old English teacher, and I am from Ireland. I have been working as a professional English teacher for the last five years. I have taught both children and adults, and I have my own lessons, homework, and resources. I had been working as a professional English teacher in Southeast Asia for three years. I worked in a diverse range of schools, from kindergartens to high schools in Vietnam and Thailand. I have also been tutoring both adults and children online during this time. I have a 120-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate, a 30-hour Teaching Young Learners certificate, and a 30-hour Teaching Online certificate from the TEFL Institute of Ireland. I also have a BA (Hons) in Journalism.

In my adult classes, my teaching style can be best described as interactive, supportive, and transparent. I like it when my students speak often in class, ask questions regularly, and participate in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. In my kids' classes, my teaching method is nurturing and supportive rather than competitive. I think children learn through fun and engaging activities so I try to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible. I can help you with your pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. In my lessons, we will focus on your own interests, study the Preply material, or work on my own pre-made courses including; basic/intermediate conversation topics, business English, and English for beginners (children welcome).
