About James
I am a highly experienced and successful classroom teacher, head of history and head of humanities - as well as being the co-author of some extremely successful Key Stage 3 textbooks for Oxford University Press. My latest book, also published by OUP, is due out in June and covers the Edexcel GCSE Medicine in Britain course. After 15 wonderful years at the same school, I have decided to take a sabbatical from the classroom in order to spend more time writing and travelling with my partner, two-old-daughter and dog. I am currently living in beautiful Copenhagen (so can only offer on-line lessons) but I desperately miss teaching and on-line tutoring enables me to continue educating and inspiring young people. Like all good teachers, I have a passion for my specialism and have expert subject knowledge. I am also an excellent communicator and understand the importance of building confidence alongside knowledge and skills. I have a proven track record of delivering excellent results through fun and engaging lessons. Hard work and enjoyment are not mutually exclusive things.
