About Rosa
Rosa Wharton is a Caribbean mixed-media textile artist and environmental scientist. Based on the vision that there is unity in diversity she fuses traditional handwork with contemporary digital technologies, to create statement, thought-provoking pieces. Over the last 4 years Rosa has become an educator and avid facilitator to fashion designers, sculptors, illustrators and textile enthusiasts in local and private studios to help make their visions a marvelous reality.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in both private and public educational institutions here in Toronto, where I’ve been helping students gain the tools, techniques, and confidence needed to excel in the textile industry. In addition to my teaching, I offer mentoring for aspiring fashion and textile designers looking to break into the fashion industry. Whether you're interested in creating your own collection, developing a lookbook, or preparing for your very first fashion show, I’m here to guide you through every step of the process. My goal is to help you transform your creative ideas into a tangible, marketable reality.
My classes are project-based, meaning they’re tailored to your personal goals and the outcomes you want to achieve.
