About David
I am a full-time, award-winning author with fifteen years experience publishing literary novels and short-stories around the world. Through my experience of working with leading New Zealand writers in workshops, discussions and festivals, I have developed a keen understanding of what works to advance a writer's creative output, voice and narrative strengths.
Writing is my live and mode of being. I'm driven by the beauty of narrative, how it changes the internal us and the great us of the wider world.

The author of three literary novels with a PhD and Masters from Victoria University's International Institute of Modern Letters, I am passionate about mentoring creative writers at whatever stage they are in their writing career, long and short form.
I work one on one, from one to two hours at a time.
We will look closely at your work, discuss what is working and create plans to develop the areas that need work in order to get the piece up to publishable standards.
I can offer advice on publishing and further education.
I tutor online and in person.
