About Lucy
The smell of rosin and old wood floors defined my childhood discovery of the piano. After 13 years gigging Latin music across the US and Latin America, I found my true home in teaching. 7 years later, I have guided 176 students toward musical independence.
My approach remains deeply rooted in the rhythmic traditions of Latin America, even when we tackle classical repertoire. I thrive working with adults, teens, and those dedicated to ABRSM or Trinity exams.
Self-taught roots give me an edge in teaching creative skills like jazz improvisation and chord voicing. Posture and hand position are never boring when you understand how they fuel your speed. I share a progress tracker with parents every month to keep everyone connected to the musical journey.
Memorization techniques become second nature once you grasp the underlying scales and arpeggios. My teaching style is playful, rhythmic, and always moving forward.
