About Mariam
My name is Mariam, I am seventeen years old, a south asian girl from east London.
“Literature always anticipates life.”
Since the moment my child-self kicked around in her bed, a yellowed book in her stubborn grasp, I knew that I loved to read – and since the moment I started my studies, I knew that finding the criticism and analytical explanations to literary works was an almost unhealthy passion. Humanities are the foundation of education. They’re the embodiment of ancient culture learned through words and diagrams in books or lectures.
I always struggled with how teachers taught in schools, or with the overload of work, but my love was always there. Thus, I make it my goal to stay always understanding without judgement, whilst spreading how engaging English can really be.

It’s far easier to relate and communicate with somebody closer to your age, which I can offer. Having achieved only A*s in exams, and intensely studied the education system across different exam boards, I can confidently assure my knowledge of what schools expect from their students of all ages from 6 to 16.
I have tutored many other students, cousins, friends, and have delivered various explanatory presentations over the years at my school or at Kings College London. I teach with an understanding patience, guiding students to figure things out by themselves— the victory makes the subject memorable. After all, positivity is what makes a topic lovable, and better to study.
I can do sessions from 1-2 hours, any 7 days a week. 3:30pm-9pm on weekdays, and 10am-9pm on weekends.
