About Tejay
I am studying Dramatic Arts at Brock University, I love my dogs, I work at summer camps where I am a teen coordinator and supervisor, I am a huge nerd, I love all sports, I grew up playing baseball and football, I was a dancer, I love the arts and if you ever want to get me talking bring up Star Wars or Spider-Man and we will be there for hours. I would consider myself an extroverted person and I have always thought confidence is key meaning I will always speak in confidence and try to bring confidence into my students' writing styles. I am studying to be a future educator meaning I want to be a Drama/History and CPP teacher!! Growing up I have always believed in chasing the things you love most and ignoring the backlash you receive as if it what makes you happy then no one else should stop you from going out and accomplishing those dreams. I always had a lot of academic challenges growing up which I believe would make me relatable in a sense because I can understand what is causing stress because I have been there!!

Growing up I have always been involved in the arts and I believe expressing yourself in some sort of creativity can do a lot for young minds of this generation. I will help my students with coping methods on how to write an essay, university prep, reading and writing, applying text from a book to a project and having purpose and meaning behind every word. I plan on doing this by getting to know my students. I am a big believer in knowing the room before walking into it. Meaning I will figure out methods to help my students in a way that will benefit them. I am always looking for a way to spread positive energy and help young adults be successful in a world where education could lack giving them the one-on-one attention that is needed.
