About Alex
I am currently doing my master of Applied Linguistics in University of Glasgow. Applied linguistics and foreign language teaching are closely interconnected fields. I am particularly interested in sociolinguistics which research within applied linguistics can inform language teachers about the sociocultural aspects of language use. Moreover, understanding sociolinguistic variation and pragmatics is crucial for learners to effectively communicate in real-world contexts. Do you think I teach because of academics?
