About George
I'm a student who took my Philosophy A-level last year, so I am fresh and still understand what it means to do it! I got an A in my final exam, but scored A* across the rest of the year. I will be following lesson plans I used to be successful as well as my own resources that helped me secure this grade (Essay plans, resource books, and mind maps). Philosophy is for everyone, but it can be hard at times and pressing. I'm here to help alleviate some of that!

My lessons will follow the rough outline of the AQA recommended books, written by Michael Lacewing. As well as this, I will be using (but not relying on!) my essay plans which got me an A in my final exam. Philosophy is a very argumentative topic, and understanding the flow of arguments and showing a deep understanding of both sides is crucial. It works more as a conversation than a one-sided argument. I would suggest each lesson be an hour and at least be once a week - ideally, I think three is best. The lessons are aimed at anyone wanting to take philosophy for A-level. Remember, philosophy is a course that tests your intuition, curiosity, and balance as well as all that is expected of any other A-level. Hope to see you soon!
