About Daniel

DH and Community energy together are producing only %2 of heat demand in UK. I believe people in the business can and will do much better and I hope that I get a chance to be a part of it.

I work as a freelancer. My work among other things is heating system design for tower blocks, small and medium residential & commercial buildings . I also work as heating and energy adviser for residential sector.

I have recently had a couple of consulting work regarding Feasibility studies ,Heat mapping , Master planning and commissioning within the field of District heating and CHP and of course HIU (pls see my cv). My previous position was temporary working as Lecturer (thermodynamics & fluidmechanics) at Solihull university. Before that I worked with a project of heat supply for few hundred flats and I also had a project for heat supply and condensing problem for an Ice-arena. I worked with a renewable energy project in EFW for Gasification during 2013-2014.I did, among other things the P&ID and PFD, using Auto cad.

During many years of work I have acquired additional and specialised skills in Steam generation, energy solutions, designing energy systems and district heating production and distribution. I have deep knowledge of Combined Heat and Power, Combustion process, Boiler technology (Biomass and conventional) and Thermal design of Heat exchangers. I have experience of HVAC . Almost every project I have worked with during last ten years has had a connection with Thermodynamics and Fluid mechanics. I am also familiar with the variety of design and simulation software used both here and in Europe.

About the lesson

I have newly done an assessment which is a base for a PhD. I believe going through the different parts of the assessment will help to understand this technology which is reliable, environment friendly and cheap.The big networks are mostly supported by government but community energy is applicable in small societies with private funding.I myself love this and I am sure it will be very interesting for many people specially the young ones. The future belongs to them and DH is a big contribution to sustainable development.
