About Anna
I am entering my final year of my biological and medical sciences degree. As I am still in a learning environment myself I can help students with their studying with techniques that I still use to help me in my degree. I am very patient with students and can empathise with any struggles they may have and will work with them to my upmost ability to overcome any learning barriers.

I like to start off with asking the student what they know about the topic to identify any gaps in knowledge and understanding. I will then create a schedule of the topics we will go over each session.
During each session, I first like to explain the topic in a way that will help the student really understand the core theory, this will be specific to each student. Once the understanding is there I will then go through some activities to help the student retain the information long term. When I was in school I struggled with revising just using notes so I learned a lot of active recall techniques that drastically improved my ability to retain information.
It is also very important to go over past exam question to really get the student to understand how they will be assessed ,so that they can become confident in how they approach their exams.
