About Raaya
Hi! I’m a third-year Neuroscience and Psychology undergraduate at Wellesley College (USA), where I study on a full scholarship. I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE English Language and Literature and now tutor GCSE English with a strong focus on exam confidence and clear writing skills.
I believe English shouldn’t feel intimidating or boring so my lessons are structured but friendly and always tailored to the student’s level! I’m calm, encouraging, and big on positive reinforcement (praise over punishment!)
I’ve received university offers from Cambridge, UCL, and King’s College London, and I bring that academic insight into every lesson while keeping things engaging and approachable. My goal is simple: to help students feel confident, capable, and prepared.

Technique: I meet each student at their current level and adapt lessons to their learning style, pace, and goals.
I try to follow exam-focused teaching so lessons are built around past GCSE exam papers, ensuring all teaching is curriculum-relevant and directly applicable to your child's education.
I prioritise confidence-building, clear feedback, and encouragement to help students engage and progress consistently.
Homework: Each student receives personalised homework packets to reinforce key skills and improve long-term retention.
I hold 60-minute sessions primarily for 9-16 year olds.
Qualifications & experience:
- Grade 9 in GCSE English Language and English Literature
- A* in A-level Psychology
- Full scholarship student at Wellesley College (USA), studying Neuroscience & Psychology
