About Manuel
I am Manuel, I am 20 years old and I am currently studying a degree in Molecular Biotechnology Engineering (a very long name by the way) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Chile. I study the career because I have a special interest in the microbiological world and its daily implications in people's lives, problems in areas such as health or food can have a solution in biotechnological development and I would like to contribute my two cents to these solutions.
My desire to teach Biology as I propose it appears from my experience when learning all these contents, I have had to develop sufficient autonomy to be able to join topics that seem very far from other sciences but that in reality are not, aspects like organic chemistry or thermodynamics they contribute a lot to the understanding of biology that studies very small things.

When teaching biology, I seek that this is also understood in an integrated way, adding the chemical and physical points of view, especially biochemical macromolecular phenomena. This idea on how to teach proposes a different model to the traditional way of teaching basic sciences in separate courses, when current scientific research requires multidisciplinarity.
I also believe that anyone can develop skills for biological sciences, so I guide the course objectives according to Bloom's taxonomy.
Finally, my way of teaching prioritizes the relationship between time and concentration, so I try not to extend myself more than 20-30 minutes for each topic covered in a class, I also select support material according to the need for each student.
