About Vishnupuram
I am Vishnupuram Raghu Mridangam and 'A' grade Moorsing Artiste (Awarded by All india Radio). I have been playing Mridangam for the past 40 years and Moorsing for the last 20 years. I started to learn Mridangam at the age of 20. Also I was attracted to the Nadam in Moorsing and so I also Mastered the art of playing Moorsing as well. I learnt Mridangam from my respected Guru Sri Poongulam Sabesa Iyer and Shri Salem Srinivasan ( A Top Rank Mridangam staff artiste All India Radio Tiruchirapalli). I have been performing live concerts with many eminent artists. Some of the eminent artiste with whom I had performed in the past are Dr N Ramani, Shri M Chandra Shekharan, Shri Neiveli SanthanGopalan, Shri T V Shankar Narayanan, Shrimati Bombay Sisters, Shrimati A Kanyakumari, Shrimati Nityashri, Shri Nagai R Muralidharan, Shri O S Thiagrajan. I have a great interest and passion to teach this Divine art of music to all the sincere students out there. If anyone with great sincerity want to master the art of playing Mridangam can contact me.

I Teach Mridangam, Moorsing and Konnakol from Basic to Expert level. The classes will be conducted online as per the convenience of the student. I have more than 30 years of experience in teaching and have taught students from all age group.
