About Kelsey
As a teacher, Ms. Robertson focuses on teaching her students how to sing with ease and confidence. Ms. Robertson creates a calming and positive atmosphere so that her students feel comfortable to grow artistically and technically. Ms. Robertson teaches a range of genres and styles. After evaluating the student’s goals, Ms. Robertson offers a curriculum tailored to the student's needs and repertoire goals. In order to guide the student to sing with confidence and ease, Ms. Robertson’s teaching technique emphasizes posture, breathing, vocal production, diction, and communication. Her years of intensive training with some of the finest pedagogues in the country combined with her continued performance experience make her an excellent teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music. She is currently pursuing an opera career in addition to maintaining a successful voice studio. Students have sung at Carnegie Hall, won competitions, secured lead roles in local and professional musical productions.

My teaching method is tailored to each student's needs and goals. I work on the foundations of breathing and tone production. I believe with the right training and curriculum, anyone can sing! A typical lesson will involve a discussion of goals and check-in on how you and your voice are feeling that day. We will warm up with a focus on strengthening and growing your voice to meet your goals. Once you feel ready, we will dive into your favorite songs with the goal of singing freely and being able to express your voice as you desire. In my studio, there are no goals too big or too small!
