About Saoirse

I am an experienced, young, dynamic tutor offering quality, engaging lessons at a competitive price.

I am a student at the University of Cambridge student where I specialise in French and Portuguese and was awarded a scholars award for my academic performance last year.

I offer online French lessons for secondary school students looking to keep on track with their language skills, improve their grades or find a connection and passion for the French language. I am used to working with a wide range of abilities, and I am fluent in both English and French having previously lived in Paris.

High grades in languages are a fantastic asset to any student's profile and impressive for university admissions. The pleasure of fluency in another language is furthermore a gift that keeps on giving throughout life.

I have 4 years of tutoring experience. I use methods picked up from my own training as a tutor and insights from teaching I have experienced myself at the University of Cambridge to maximise quality of tutoring and positive outcomes for students.

About the lesson

I am a friendly and positive individual with a passion for exploring foreign cultures and languages and inspiring this interest in others. I am a passionate tutor who finds nothing more rewarding that watching my students improve. I make learning a new language accessible and straightforward for my students - guiding them through how they can improve most effectively and focusing on their weaknesses to turn them into strengths.

I usually conduct my lessons on Zoom and focus on each of the four main skills - Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. I like to use a variety of material and techniques depending on the level and interests of the individual student and their aims.

I am always happy to assist with homework, expand and add to the school syllabus or we can take a route of our own, maximising additional skills and topics outside of what is being covered at school !
