About Freddie

Welcome! I’m Freddie, a tutor committed to helping students achieve their full potential. With a strong academic background, including 8 Grade 9s in GCSEs and top predicted grades in Further Maths and predicted A*s in biology, chemistry and maths, I bring both expertise and passion to my teaching.

My approach to tutoring is both methodical and engaging. I break down complex concepts into simpler, more understandable parts and use a variety of teaching tools, including visual aids and real-life examples, to make learning effective and enjoyable. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, starting with a review of previous material, moving on to new concepts, and then applying those concepts through interactive problem-solving.

I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to meet individual needs, ensuring that each student gains confidence and mastery in their studies. My experience covers a range of levels, from KS2 to GCSE, making me well-equipped to support students at different stages of their education.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred around making math accessible, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. Here’s a quick overview of how I conduct my lessons:

I use a variety of techniques to address different learning styles and needs. My approach includes breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more manageable steps, and using visual aids and real-world examples to make abstract ideas more tangible. Interactive problem-solving is a core part of my lessons, as it helps students apply what they’ve learned and build confidence. I also incorporate regular feedback and assessments to track progress and adjust the focus of our sessions accordingly.

A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes. Each session starts with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning, followed by an introduction to new concepts. We then work through practice problems together, and I provide guidance and support as needed. Lessons are designed to be flexible, allowing time for questions and exploration of topics at the student’s pace.

I have 8 Grade 9s including GCSE and Further Maths and have participated in math competitions, which have deepened my understanding and problem-solving skills. My experience in tutoring spans various levels, from KS2 to GCSE, equipping me with the expertise to help students of different ages and abilities.
