About Arpan
Hey there! I'm Arpan, an Instructor with a strong technical background. I hold a B.Tech in Software Engineering from Delhi Technological University.
Professionally, I've worked as a Technical Instructor and Product Engineer at Coding Blocks, teaching Data Structures and Algorithms in Java and coordinating programs across various campuses for students from freshman to senior years.
As an engineer, I've worked on various projects, including GeoBin, a React-based app connecting NGOs with those in need, and ReduCer, a machine learning and computer vision project that helps reduce food wastage by predicting usage. My technical toolkit includes Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, ReactJs, NodeJs, ExpressJs, Redux, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Notable achievements include being a National Finalist in the Smart India Hackathon organised by Government of India and winning the Best Communication Architecture Award in the Meher Baba Drone competition organised by Indian Air Force.

First, I get a sense of where the learner is at in terms of their skills. Then, I present them with a problem that's just challenging enough for them (like designing an algorithm). We work through the problem together, focusing on the important concepts and context needed to understand it.
If the learner gets stuck on something specific, I shift gears to dive deeper into that particular area until they get it. Then, we return to the original problem.
I always aim to keep the sessions driven by the learner's interests and pace. For programming questions, I encourage them to share their thought process and how they'd approach solving the problem. I give hints and nudge them in the right direction, making the learning experience engaging and tailored to them.
