Let me introduce myself: Reinom, Top laner from the beginning. Diamond 3 this season. My goal is to teach the art of toplane. There are a lot of subtle and obvious things to know in order to be a good top laner and I won't pretend to master everything. However, I will share with you my vision of the laning phase and how to, in concrete terms, dominate your lane and use this advantage to win.
Coaching videos always recycle the same advice, but toplane is not just about surviving ganks, or freezing your wave. It is more of a negotiation: do I allow my opponent to take my cs? Trade hp for mana? Or the other way around ... Knowledge of match-ups also plays an important role.
