About Michelle
At the heart of Friends Of The Dog NZ & AU is Michelle Pieterse, a dedicated Canine Behaviour Advisor, Certified Pet Dog Trainer, Clicker Instructor and Certified Dog Groomer with a deep-seated love for dog training and canine welfare. Michelle’s journey began in South Africa, and she has continued her work in New Zealand, tirelessly advocating for dogs, their well-being and their need for training as a way to open up clear lines of communication between dogs and their humans. With extensive qualifications and years of experience, Michelle brings practical, compassionate guidance to every project, from shelter work to one-on-one consultations, using mainly positive reinforcement methods to help each dog thrive.
