About Njinu
I'm a passionate web developer and educator with a unique blend of technical expertise and teaching experience that spans nearly a decade. My journey into web development began during my university days as a Computer Engineering student, where I discovered my love for building digital solutions that solve real-world problems. What started as curiosity quickly became a career, and for the past 7 years, I've been crafting websites and web applications across diverse industries. My Technical Experience I'm a versatile full-stack developer comfortable working across multiple platforms and technologies. From WordPress and Wix for rapid deployment to custom-coded solutions built from scratch using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript – I adapt my approach to what each project truly needs. Over the years, I've had the privilege of building: A language tutoring platform connecting learners worldwide A cryptocurrency exchange website with secure transaction systems Banking systems requiring high security and reliability Hospital websites with patient management features A job board web application matching candidates with opportunities A courier logistics site with live map tracking for real-time delivery monitoring Multiple agency websites for creative and corporate clients Each project taught me something new and reinforced my belief that great web development isn't just about clean code – it's about understanding user needs and business goals. Why I Love Teaching Teaching isn't just a side gig for me – it's a genuine passion. I've spent the last 8 years tutoring languages part-time, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to break down complex concepts into digestible lessons. For the past 3 years, I've been organizing web development boot camps where I teach various tech courses, helping hundreds of students transition into tech careers. My dual experience as both a developer and language tutor gives me a unique perspective: I understand that learning to code is like learning a new language. It requires practice, patience, and the right guidance. My Teaching Philosophy I'm open-minded and believe there's no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I'm hardworking and committed to your success. I'm innovative in finding new ways to explain difficult concepts. Most importantly, I'm patient – I remember what it's like to be a beginner, and I'll never rush you through your learning journey. Beyond the Code When I'm not building websites or teaching, you'll find me enjoying music, catching a soccer match, planning my next travel adventure, or learning new languages (currently working on my fifth!). I'm a firm believer in self-development and continuous learning – a philosophy I bring into every lesson. Whether you're taking your first steps into web development or looking to master advanced techniques, I'm here to guide you with real-world experience, proven teaching methods, and genuine enthusiasm for your growth. Let's build something amazing together!
