About Betty
I am a transitional mathematics specialist with 3 years of instructional experience teaching beginner to intermediate learners. I have successfully guided around 125 students, helping them build mathematical thinking and foundational problem-solving understanding. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patiently explained instruction, confidence-building emphasis, and foundational skill development, ensuring each student progresses comfortably through mathematics basics. Confidence-building emphasis shapes my teaching approach, celebrating incremental achievements and creating safe spaces where mathematical learning feels manageable rather than intimidating.
Foundational skill development guides my lessons, establishing essential mathematical competencies that support all subsequent mathematical learning and conceptual advancement.
Sessions typically commence with basic reasoning concepts and problem-solving fundamentals, progress through introductory problem-solving techniques, and gradually introduce intermediate mathematical scenarios.
For students demonstrating comfortable foundational understanding, I extend into multi-step problems, simple systems, and basic mathematical applications.
