About Svetlana

Born in Bulgaria and moved to Germany at age 11 with no prior knowledge of the language. Learned German from scratch through school, went on to complete the Abitur (German A-Levels equivalent) in English, Maths and Physics, and later moved to the UK to study Engineering. Having gone through the exact process of learning German as a second language, from zero to fluent, I know what works and what doesn't.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is simple. It's just talking :) We will talk in German, a lot, right from the start until it stops feeling scary and starts feeling normal. Confidence doesn't come from knowing everything or being flawless. It comes from doing it over and over, until your brain stops freezing every time you have to speak. It comes from not being afraid to make mistakes and that fear fades naturally once you're speaking German regularly. The more we talk, the more natural it will feel.
Typical lesson length is dependent on preference, usually 45 or 60 minutes.
This lesson is for anyone. Complete beginners who are nervous to say a word, people who already know some German but freeze up when speaking, people prepping for a trip, exam, or move.
If you want to speak German with confidence, this is for you.
