About Aoife

I am a Trinity graduate in European Studies. I have lived in France and Italy and speak both languages. I enjoy travelling and learning about new cultures. My experience teaching languages began in 2021 and I have loved it ever since! Don't hesitate to contact me to have a call and get to know each other better.

About the lesson

I teach English as a foreign language. I have two years experience teaching remotely to 8 students who come from France, Italy, India, Russia, Poland and Vietnam. I have also taught primary and secondary school students in larger groups in person. I am passionate about teaching English through interactive classes with a focus on learning about culture. I use a range of resources with content in the target language including music, podcasts, newspaper articles, TV shows and movies.
I myself speak 5 languages so I know the struggles of language learning and will be your guide through those obstacles.
The typical length of one of my lessons is 1 hour. This allows enough time for a range of engagement with the target language (oral, aural, reading and writing) without overwhelming the student with too much information at once.
I cater the lessons to all ages and all levels. This is why I offer the first lesson for free in order to get to know you and best cater to your needs.

Perfect! Aoife is a very nice person, pleasnt and easy to talk to. I was mainly interested in conversational English and we had indeed great conversations! What struck me most was her ability to make me talk and motivate me to look for a better way of building a sentence or for the right expression, etc. Only great teachers know how to do that!
