Bio:
Growing up in Melbourne, I was surrounded by incredible drummers from a young age, falling in love with the kit at just 4 years old. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being mentored by a diverse range of professionals, allowing me to master an array of styles - including Jazz, Latin, Funk, Rock, R&B, Pop, and Musical Theatre, and achieved my Trinity College London Rock and Pop Diploma at age 16.

A defining moment in my journey was studying under touring professional drummer Pablo Calzado. His guidance taught me more than just how to be a standout performer; it showed me how to transition that knowledge into becoming an effective, inspiring mentor.

For 9 years, I was based in Singapore, gigging extensively with world-class musicians and building a thriving community of students. Now that I’m back home in Melbourne, my goal is to pass that real-world experience on to you. I don't just teach patterns on a page - I teach you how to truly understand the kit and find what you love.

About the lesson

I have had students in the past ranging all levels and ages (from 5-45y.o!), and specialise in a number of genres.

Because I have spent nearly two decades learning from international touring pros and teaching such a broad range of students, my methodology focuses on musicality and practical engagement from day one.

I don't just teach you how to read patterns off a page, I teach you how to listen, how to find a groove, and how to develop real control. There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. Your 1-hour sessions are completely customized around your personal goals, but we will be guided by 2 options:
1. The Graded Track (Trinity Rock & Pop): Ideal for students who thrive on structured milestones, clear goalposts, and high-exam level preparation.
2. The Creative Track (No Exams): Skip the pressure of grades. We focus entirely on honing your practical skills, expanding your genre vocabulary, and mastering the songs you actually love.

My lessons are between 45mins and 1h long depending on the student and their preferences. I normally break a lesson into:
1. Warm Up & Rudiments
2. Skill building & Rhythm Work
3. Songs
