About Alex

I am able to provide Trumpet tutoring up to post Grade 8 standard, and beginner brass sessions for all brass instruments.

I am a 22 year old currently teaching classical Trumpet for local music services, after graduating from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I have a passion for my instrument, and enjoy teaching/sharing what I have learnt from some of the best musicians in the world. I have completed a Level 4 Diploma and have experienced playing for the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales and the National Youth Brass Band of Wales. During my time with these ensembles, as well as many county level ensembles, I have had the pleasure of performing in amazing venues such as The Royal Albert Hall. Throughout my playing life, I have also been given the opportunity to work alongside, as well as get tutored by some of the best musicians in the world. I have always enjoyed sharing what I have learnt, and have experience working with all age groups. I have worked alongside music services providing workshops for all school age groups, and I have experience teaching mature students as well due to family members and family friends reaching out.

About the lesson

Throughout the course of however many lessons we have together, whether you wish to go on and be a musician for your career or keep it as a hobby, I hope to help you find a way of structuring your time to best benefit you! I will be providing anything and everything that is necessary for your development, no matter what standard we begin at. I am very familiar with the grading system in the United Kingdom due to my close connections with music services, so I will be able to structure our sessions and your practice routine to best prepare for grades (if that is what you wish to do)! Otherwise, I have tools and repertoire to help you achieve whatever goal you have in mind.
