About Gizem
I am a formal English teacher in Turkey and formal Turkish language instructor in the United States. I have been awarded Fulbright teaching scholarship to teach Turkish at the University of Washington, Seattle.
I hold masters degree in education (MEd) and work as an ESL Instructor at an international school in New York. I spend most of my time teaching English and Turkish.
I have been working as a college counsellor and academic coach for 6 years to help young adults with their academic and professional paths.

Merhaba! I am Gizem from Turkey!
I hold a BA degree on English Language Teaching and a Master degree in Education. I have been teaching Turkish at the University of Washington as a Fulbright Scholar and at a variety of online platforms.
Being an experienced language teacher and educational coach, I like teaching languages with the integration of culture, music and games! My class will include allfour skills: listening, reading, writing and mostly speaking as language is a tool to communicate!
My classes go beyond traditional teaching to language integration of real life! My classes are interactive, productive, and reschedulable. My students start using the language on day 1 which keeps them motivated. I keep track of their progress, provide instant feedback, and support them through a variety of activities, assignments, extra materials, and simply by working on their language learning/speech anxiety.
