About Sarah
I believe every student deserves the opportunity to feel confident in their abilities and to enjoy learning, rather than seeing it as something to fear or simply get through.
My goal is to make a positive impact by helping students who may be struggling, building both their understanding and their confidence. I want to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing at their own pace. I feel Psychology especially is a good subject for this, as alongside learning the theories, they may learn more about themselves.
More than just helping students achieve better grades, I hope to give them skills and confidence that will stay with them long after our lessons have finished. If I can help a student leave each session feeling more capable and excited to learn, then I know I've made a meaningful difference.

I create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Every student learns differently, so I am ready to adapt my teaching style to fit the student, whether that means using visual aids, breaking up topics or working through examples together to let them be more active in their learning.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, however I am happy to adjust the length depending on needs. I understand some subjects may be more difficult to grasp, and I am happy to take as much time as needed to understand the material.
Despite being at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I have developed strong communication and mentoring skills through my DipHE in Psychology at university, as well as my experience as a Student Ambassador. These roles involved supporting students, and helping others feel confident and engaged, which I will apply to my lessons.
I am happy to teach any age that is interested in the subject, but have a focus on GCSE to A-Level learners. My aim is to help students build both their understanding and their confidence, making learning a positive and rewarding experience.
