About Riley
Hello, my name is Riley Foster! I am an older sister and student at St. Michael's Episcopal School, and am a rising eighth grader. Academically, I excel in reading strategies and comprehension, physics, biology, chemistry, and World Geography. I am a four-time honor roll student. Outside of school, I love painting, drawing, kayaking, rock climbing, and spending time with my family. I enjoy playing tennis, rock climbing, and kayaking.

In my lessons, I show the student how to fully grasp and remember the events of a fictional text, and how to identify vocabulary and form short summaries of a nonfiction text. I see what strategies would work best for each individual learner, and curate a lesson plan based on each student's needs. After tutoring, the student can expect to have grasped reading strategies and be able to confidently understand the themes and ideas of a reading without extra help.
