About David
I am dedicated to bringing my students the correct answers to any questions they have and I express due diligence in hunting for answers that are hard to explain or understand. In my current job as a tutor I tutor 8-10 students a week for 1-2 hour sessions in Biology, Microbiology, and Chemistry. I take detailed notes after each session to assess what were our goals, objective, readiness measures, and future expectations for our class. I use these notes to personalize a course of study throughout the semester and to prepare for subsequent sessions.

I like to focus on where you are at in preparation for your next unit test! I enjoy reinforcing the core of your study with emphasis on the expansion of the subject in preparation for future subject areas. I was pre-med so I understand the interconnectedness of the “hard” sciences and love to find those key concepts that are shared throughout the common science curriculum such as cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, and genetics. I try to spend my time with students focusing on what is most important for their immediate goals, objectives to meet those goals, assessing readiness for performance on tests, and in preparation for industry exams such as the ACA’s exam, the OAT, DAT, and the MCAT.
Every session will consist of a few phases:
1. Finding your goals
2. Creating pragmatic objectives
3. Instruction of material through lecture with scattered questioning
4. Re-enforcement of key concepts
5. Review of the conceptual framework of the unit
6. A debrief
I will go at your pace and will not speed ahead of you! I have had experience tutoring college students for the last 6 months.
