About Kate

I have over 10 years of tutoring experience, and always have a lot of fun teaching my students. I will never be that boring and strict tutor that makes you dread our session every week. I think we've all experienced that and I never wanted to be that teacher! So here I am, ready to make learning a new language fun!! I tutor English, French and German, as I speak all 3 languages fluently.

I grew up in Alberta, Montreal, and Toronto and lived in Germany for 7 years.

I love chatting and speaking about any topics that may interest you in the language you would like to learn, and I will always listen to your suggestions and needs, in order to make our sessions and time together the most optimal for your personal learning success!

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Kate and I am German/Canadian . I was born in Germany and lived in Canada for 18 years, learning French at a very young age in Montreal, Quebec, and going to French speaking schools ever since.

I grew up speaking German and English, and I lived in Germany for 7 years, just having returned back to Alberta. I have over 10 years of experience as a private tutor. I tutor English, French and German, as I am fluent in all 3 languages.

My teaching methods are very unique to each student, based on their individual learning needs/skills. Some learn well visually, others by speaking, writing, whatever works best for you, I will always work with you.

I have been working with children and students of all ages. I have taught children as young as 5, and university students , as well as older individuals seeking to perfect a language or learn a new one. I have worked as a camp director in English and German speaking camps in Germany as well.

My lessons are most fun when we speak and have a fun chat, talk about whatever you'd like, to practice your speaking, as well as working on writing and grammar together. My lessons are always fun! I became the tutor I wish I had when I was still in school.

She is not like other tutors we have had before, she is exactly what I had been looking for for so long! The kids learn AND have fun. My son’s English has gone from 75% to 93%. Insane!
