About Taryn
I have worked at top institutions as a scientist, like Harvard, MIT, and now Uchicago. School was not always second nature to me and I had to learn how to translate my thinking skills to success in the classroom. Although intelligence goes far beyond grades, they can limit opportunities of the future. I aim to pass on my learned skills of success both in STEM and in the collegiate structure.

Before the lesson, I will ask your student what they are covering in class. We will then categorize and visualize ways to synthesize information such as charts with defined questions, maps, and their own unique pictorial representations. They will then be challenged to recall the information in new, but familiar problems. My lessons are best for students beginning in complex math and science courses. I also am passionate about teaching biochemistry and chemistry.
