About Lucille
I am a multilingual UCL English Literature Graduate and full time Private Tutor with 10 years of professional experience. I teach online and have worked with VIP and HNW families from Moscow, Dubai, Istanbul, Geneva, London and internationally.
I focus on helping students to achieve their academic and career aims, helping them to improve their exam scores and gain access to the world's best schools and universities. Previous schools students have entered include quality British boarding schools such as Cheltenham College, Cheltenham Ladies College, Rugby School (where I myself obtained the top honorary academic scholarship), and university admission to Russel Group and Ivy League universities in the UK and USA.
I have particular experience preparing students for IB exams and have helped many students improved their scores dramatically (with several past students increasing their level from a 3 to a 7). I have also provided intensive support for IOC, IA and EE assessments and have helped students across many subjects including English SL and HL, Theatre Studies, Film Studies, Spanish / Italian ab Initio and French.
I also love teaching languages and have experience teaching this in a business context as well as in preparation for GCSE, A Level and IB examinations.

My lessons provide focussed and intensive support tailored around each student's personality, aims, and learning style. Depending on the timescale of our lessons (whether you are looking for one-off essay advice or support geared towards the achievement of long term goals), I will combine building necessary knowledge with the strengthening of core cognitive skills. My method for helping students to build knowledge, particularly when learning languages, is based upon neuroscientific discoveries on memory, language and learning in order to ensure maximum efficiency and recall. I also ensure to base learning around the criteria, mark schemes and syllabuses that the student may be following in order to be certain that they will excel in each assessment objective and that they remain on target for succeeding in their exams.
Alongside this intensive, goal driven methodology, I always maintain a friendly and understanding relationship with my students. I greatly enjoy the experience of teaching and communicating knowledge and love to see the tremendous progress my students make as their skills, scores and confidence improve. It is wonderful to be able to share their happiness and pride in their many successes and their confident hope in the future that lies ahead.
