I am a dedicated and experienced A-Level Politics tutor with a passion for helping students achieve top grades and develop a deep understanding of political systems, ideologies, and current affairs. As a History and Politics of the Americas student at UCL, I bring both academic expertise and real enthusiasm for the subject to my teaching. About the lesson

I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the student’s needs, learning style, and exam requirements. My methodology focuses on: Breaking Down Complex Ideas – Politics can be abstract, so I simplify key theories, concepts, and case studies to make them easier to understand. Discussion-Based Learning – Encouraging debate and critical thinking to help students form strong, well-reasoned arguments. Exam Technique & Essay Writing – Teaching how to structure essays, analyse sources, and apply political theories effectively to score high marks. Real-World Applications – Using current events to make topics more engaging and relevant. Lesson Structure: Typical Length: 1 hour (can be adjusted based on student preference). Format: A mix of explanation, discussion, and practice questions. Resources: Past papers, case studies, academic readings, and interactive exercises. I am a History and Politics of the Americas student at UCL, giving me strong academic grounding in political theory, international relations, and comparative politics. I have 1 year of experience tutoring A-Level Politics students, helping them refine their essay-writing and analytical skills. Additionally, my essay plans have been used within my previous school's Politics departments, providing structured resources to aid understanding and revision for students.
