About QINGHENG
Hello! I’m a native Mandarin speaker from China, currently studying for a Master’s degree in Education at UCL, one of the UK’s top universities. I love language learning and teaching. I have rich experience in teaching languages to both children and adults, and I genuinely enjoy helping learners build confidence and fluency step by step. My lessons are friendly, structured, and always tailored to the learner’s needs and goals. I believe language learning should be fun and meaningful, so I focus on helping students truly understand the language, not just memorise it. I’m patient, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment. Whether you’re learning Mandarin for travel, school, business, or cultural interest, I’m here to guide and encourage you along the way!

I offer engaging and structured Mandarin lessons suitable for learners of all levels and ages, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency. Each lesson lasts around one hour and includes vocabulary building, listening, speaking, reading and writing practice. As a native Mandarin speaker with a Class 2 Grade A certificate in Standard Mandarin Proficiency (a nationally recognised top-tier qualification in China), I bring both deep linguistic knowledge and cultural insight to my teaching. Rather than relying on rote memorisation, my teaching style is centred around understanding. I aim to make learning enjoyable by incorporating real-life examples, cultural context and interactive activities to help learners retain knowledge more naturally and confidently.
