About Fatima

I am a UCLA student (Bachelors of Sciences in Psychobiology) who has been tutoring for 8 years. I have taught 35+ students who have all gone to earn great grades and increase their confidence in their abilities. I have taken classes in the subjects that I teach, and have earned high grades in all of them. I am a premedical student, so I have been taking rigorous classes since I was in high school and till now, and have learned how to best retain and reteach myself the information - these are skills I have used to benefit my students time and time again.

About the lesson

I am a premedical student who understands how difficult it can be to grasp material in STEM classes and thus, I mold my style of teaching to one that fits however my students learn best, allowing them to understand the material in an effective, efficient manner. I’ve had a variety of students, from grades K-12 and across various subjects, so I’ve been able to test out a lot of ways of tutoring and I’ve narrowed it down to one method that works best for my students! My method of teaching involves a lot of student interaction, rather than a passive method of me teaching and them listening. With consistent sessions, my novel method has seen countless students of mine go from C’s to A’s in their classes!

Appointments may be cancelled by the student 24+ hours in advance for a full refund of that session’s fees. If there is only a 6-24 hour advance notice given for a session cancellation, the student will be charged 25% of the session’s fees. If there is a 1-6 hour advance notice given for a session cancellation, the student will be charged 50% of the session’s fees. If there is less than a 1 hour notice given for a session cancellation OR the student is a no-show* for their session, students will be charged for the entirety of the session’s fees.

*Students will be considered no-shows if they are not present at their scheduled session 15 minutes past the scheduled start time, and we have not communicated that the session will start later than anticipated/the session is to be cancelled or rescheduled.
