About Lara
Hello! My name is Lara and I am a nineteen year old student from Northern Ireland studying English at Cambridge university. I love literature and am so excited to be able to tutor some students!
I have 10 A* grades in my GCSEs and 3 A* grades in my A levels which were English, History and Politics. I received the English subject prize in my school for GCSE, AS level and A level as well as receiving third in the CCEA examining board for English literature GCSE.

I aim to give classes closely tailored to the GCSE or A level specification as well as to students' areas of weakness or insecurity. I want to make this learning a positive experience and will be patient and gentle with any students.
I will read any novels, plays or poems a student is studying and help them to build up knowledge about possible characters, themes or questions that may come up in an exam. I will encourage a student to let me see any school work, past papers or practice paragraphs, in order to give them feedback on ways to help them maximise their marks and improve their writing style.
I am used to helping my younger sister with her homework and have experience helping at a primary school reading group and creative writing workshops for primary school children. I plan to make lessons one hour long, although am very flexible!
