About Lanny

I am currently an undergraduate student at Melbourne Uni. From English being one of my weakest subjects to being at the top of my cohort, I understand the struggles many students have with the subject. I like to create an easy atmosphere with my students but I will push them to complete the tasks that I set. Coming out from VCE recently, I am really familiar with the current study design so I know very well what current English teachers are looking for in their students. I have many resources as well that others spend a lot of money to buy.

About the lesson

Being someone who didn't really like English, I understand the abstract nature of English which many students find hard to grasp. Having been in your shoes before, my way of teaching comes from breaking down the information and clearly explaining them to you.
We will be moving away from basic school taught TEEL structures and language techniques but instead focusing on what assessors and teachers are looking for in an essay, how we can write confidently and in a unique way that can catch the assessor's eye.
Soon, you'll find that English is not as hard as you think, but can easily score high by following the method that I teach. You'll be worrying about writing too much instead of too little!

Honestly one of the best tutors I have met. Lanny is professional in everything she does and really takes time out of her day to plan each session for each student so that she makes sure every student is focusing on their own personal problems that need to be improved. I have never felt uncomfortable learning with her and it doesn't ever feel like I'm being put on the spot like with some of my other tutors. Really recommend!!!
