About Isabel

I’m passionate about helping people learn in ways that feel engaging, practical, and confidence-building. My background includes teaching drama for theater, which gave me a strong foundation in communication and creativity, as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I’m currently completing a Master of Counseling, which deepens my understanding of motivation, resilience, and learning styles. I enjoy supporting students to achieve their goals, whether that’s mastering essay structure, preparing for exams, or building presentation skills. Outside of tutoring, I love exploring ideas in psychology, philosophy, and the arts — all of which influence my teaching style. My sessions are designed to be supportive, structured, and tailored to each student, creating space for both academic progress and personal growth.

About the lesson

I take a supportive, interactive approach that adapts to each student’s needs. Drawing on my background teaching drama, plus degrees in Psychology (undergrad) and Counselling (Master’s in progress), I focus on building both skills and confidence. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and include a check-in, focused activity, guided practice, and reflection. My teaching combines clear frameworks for writing and study with active learning techniques to keep students engaged. I’ve worked with high school students, university students, and adults, helping them with essay writing, referencing, communication, and presentation skills. My goal is not just to improve academic performance but to help students feel capable, motivated, and confident in their abilities.
