About Neta
Having grown up living in several German-speaking countries, I am passionate about the opportunities that speaking a foreign language can open. In particular, interdisciplinary opportunities offered by language learning can shape and broaden other academic interests.
I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A-level German (including in each individual exam component) and so have a good understanding of the language and application skills required to achieve the highest grade bands. I particularly enjoy working with students who might not view themselves as natural linguists; personalised tuition can often make language-learning much more feasible and I enjoy watching pupils’ confidence grow. I will also never hesitate to explore more complex concepts with pupils who are keen and able.

I work with students of all ages and believe in securing a sound basic command of the language rather than relying on memorisation. This is achieved through interactive lessons which are tailored to build and draw on the student’s existing strengths. I work on improving skills across speaking, listening, reading, writing and translation; this can be structured around either a KS3 or GCSE curriculum or a student’s personal goals. Lessons last 45-60 mins.
